Little Wishes
Little Wishes · San Anselmo, California · USA · Sep 1, 2026

Illustration for the story. Not a photo from a visit we made.
Little Wishes, San Anselmo. Pediatric nurses started it so a seriously ill child in the hospital can pick a small wish, about every two weeks, and their own care team brings it to the bedside. A toy. A meal. A birthday that still happens. $50 went there. The pack showed up.
- What they built
- Little Wishes grants small wishes to seriously ill, hospitalized children. The child picks it. Their own medical team brings it to the bed, in the hospital, any day of the year. About every two weeks. Birthdays, a meal, a toy, a little bit of control when so much has been taken away. Started by pediatric nurses in the Bay Area. Now in hospitals across the country.
- What hit them
- A long hospital stay is not only pain. It is missing school, birthdays, and the small things that make a day bearable.
- Who depends on this
- The child, the parents who cannot leave the floor, the nurse who has to walk in with something other than another needle.
- The money
$50
- Gift to Little Wishes (general)$50
At their scale, this is bedside-wish money: a snack, a toy, a small thing a child named.
- Gift to Little Wishes (general)$50
- Success in 30 days
- Wishes still going to bedsides. We will not invent a child we did not meet.
- How they show the pack
- No photos of kids on this site. The collector card commemorates the gift.
- Other help
- They already work through hospitals. This was one $50 gift.
- Proof notes
- Public charity, hospital program. Funded. The table photo is an illustration. Not a child we met. Collector card BP-01 commemorates the gift.
Follow-ups
